Seeds in the body
  (2012)

Creation that revolves around the work created in the Nature and carries the natural landscape inside studios or dance spaces.
We take the elements, the imaginary and the experiences in natural surroundings out of context in order to observe how this operation transforms and develops the dance room.

Dust figures
(2010-11)

Dust Figures springs from a body that feels fragile, which fluctuates and suggests the corporeal and the incorporeal, the material and the spirit, health and illness, birth and death. It is above all a meditative proposal about body impermanence that I present through unfolding into various presences and/or absences and different body and mental states which find a formal expression in the changes and interferences among scenic languages and registers.

Com voldria ser / What I’d like to be like (2009-07)

With this work I propose a reflection through the poetics of body and movement about different themes related with the desire to obtain beauty and to remain beautiful. Com voldria ser presents a score of questions about: the body as an object, the decayed body, the sensitive body, the body and self-esteem, the body and the seduction. The piece exposes the fragility of the person and its physical beauty at the same time that dominates the struggle, the aggressiveness and the dissatisfaction towards the search of an ideal that we create and hardly ever becomes true.

Rastres / Traces / 2006-05 (long version) / 2003-02 (short version)

I initiate this piece during my stay in Japan, in the midst of a society where the contrast of tradition and modernity is sharp. Rastres evoke robustness and instability, confinement and freedom, weight and lightness. With the string intertwining the movement, Rastres is an insinuation about the possibility of transgressing and breaking up with the inner barriers, fears, opposing forces, and also about the constant possibility to grow and to develop.

Llaços / Laces (2000)

Llaços has the form and rhythm of a walk of three women. The group feeling and friendship are the center of the piece yet individuality and loneliness that each women experience is also important.

The sensing of a child, an adult, or an elderly person are facets which intertwine creating links and complicities (memories, dreams, mystery, play, celebration and melancholy…). These women ask themselves what they have inherited from the women that preceded them, and they show us different sides of their soul through a dance that transforms, that keeps on changing.

Appetite (1999)

Appetite is a dance-parody about Desire. Appetite is a work that combines dance and theatrical interpretation to bring life to some daily objects such as a loaf of bread, a toaster, an egg, all of which become the main protagonists of the game. A game full of obstacles, incidents, seductions, rejections, fears and pleasures around an amusing conquest.

Ales de plom / Lead Wings (1997)

Steps- an instant- a journey- the inside- the body- the outside- something visible and invisible- the soul- the house- a memory- a hiding place- something appearing and disappearing- an impulse- the flight- silence- that which remains- something opening- a key- something closing- the light- the white color- something transparent and incorporeal- a door- doubt- desire- innocence- rejection- a bird- something eternal- a secret- spaces- traces and the forgetfulness- the weight and the air- a path- all of these or nothing- an echo.

With/Without (1996)

We start with the word “Doppelgänger” that can suggest splitting, shadow, mask.

With/Without is a piece composed by a duet and a solo with opposite qualities. In the first part there is a succession of unions and separations, ruptures and encounters between two beings or too faces of one same person. Situations in which escape and persecution, attachment and rejection keep on alternating to a percussive and insistent rhythm within an austere and strong scene. The solo in the second part, speaks the tenderness and its nostalgia.
